I received my first
guitar at the ripe old age of 12. It was a Kay that my parents got for
saving stamps from the gas station across the street. I’ve
still got that guitar and thus began my love affair. Through the years,
I’ve come to understand how instruments work, why they each have
their own voice when constructed with different woods, and occasionally
I even play them! I have a nice collection of instruments, both old and
new. (What can I say? They keep following me home! I just
can’t turn them away.)
It seems like we are forever recording the next CD or song. But, you know
we wouldn’t have it any other way.
If by chance you want to change the subject from guitars and music,
I’ve been known to log a few miles on the saddle of a Harley.
Music, Motorcycles and Mamas! It just doesn’t get any better
than that!
That’s enough about me, and if you’ve made it this
far, thanks for reading! I hope your experience with us is a great one.
We want to be your web store! If you’re in the area, stop by,
we’ve always got something goin’ on!
Thanks Again!

SHERYLANNE HORMAN
Music... what
can
you say, there is never enough. At the age of 8, I
started playing the piano. While playing and learning songs,
I also started
singing. After a while I would try and play the songs I heard
on the
radio on the piano.
At the age of 11 I started playing the guitar. Through Jr. High
and
High School I took music classes constantly.
In 1996 I started playing Banjo, 2002 took First
place in the Heritage
Old-Time Fiddle Contest, 2003, took First Place on Banjo at the
Founders Title Folk and
Bluegrass Festival. March 2005 I started
writing my own music by Dec 2005 I made my first CD, 2006 I
started
teaching Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin.
Music touches our lives in so many different ways, and has had such a
positive influence on my life. I want to share that experience with
others through teaching.
KLAUS SCHULZKE
Klaus has always loved music -- He began listening to all types as a
youngster. He started playing in 1967 and picked up the banjo in 1984
when playing with the "No Name Band". According to Klaus, "Everyone in
the No Name Band played guitar, I wanted to play something else. At
times I even played the mouth harp to put out that extra sound".
Another love of Klaus's is working on instruments. He is one of the
best repair and set-up guys around. Klaus is one of the store's
luthiers. In 2007 Klaus became Fender-certified in Acoustic Guitars,
Electric Guitars, and Amplifiers.
Klause plays guitar, mandolin, banjo, bass, and numerous other
instruments. When requests come in, Klause teaches Claw Hammer Banjo.
He
likes tomatoes, too.
